Sky Pad on Spectrum of the Seas

Sky Pad is a landmark on Deck 15 of Spectrum of the Seas. There are 10 rated staterooms on the same deck. Across that deck we score quiet at 3 and convenience at 8 out of 100.

Flagged as changed, and most sources are out of date. Sky Pad opened as a caged bungee trampoline with virtual reality headsets. Royal removed the bungee from every ship that had it from March 2023, and this is now the only Sky Pad left in the fleet. Since early 2025 it is a seated virtual reality cinema instead: goggles, noise blocking ear cups and immersive films from deep space to coral reef. Roughly 10 to 15 dollars a head, minimum age six, under twelves with an adult.

Worth knowing. The change matters. The old bungee was a percussive mechanical thump through the aft sports deck. The new format is seated and silent to anybody standing next to it, because all the audio is inside the headphones. It is no longer a noise source.
