Cabin 1015 · Carnival Freedom

Cabin 1015 is a Balcony (category 8E1) on Carnival Freedom, 168 to 205 square feet plus a private balcony of 35 to 46 square feet.

Cabin 1015 is a Balcony on Deck 10, the Panorama deck, of Carnival Freedom, and it sits far forward. You are at the top of the passenger decks, so the pools and the open air are just up the stairs, and you feel the ship move more than anyone below you. This is a long way from the pivot, so a swell reaches you before it reaches anyone midship. Right up in the bow, a head sea can send a shudder through the hull that midship guests never feel at all. We score it 4 out of 10 for steadiness.

On the ship's plan Seuss Bookville is two decks up, about 1 cabin along from you. A deck between you takes most of the noise out of it, and it is a short trip when you want it. We give it 9 out of 10 for quiet, which is about as peaceful as this ship gets. For getting about it is 4 out of 10, so add a few minutes to everywhere you go.

Counting from the bow, it is the 6th cabin position of 33 along Deck 10.

A Balcony gives you 168-205 square feet. The balcony adds another 35-46 on top of that. A balcony buys you outside space of your own and, on sea days, somewhere to sit that is not the pool deck. It is the step up most people make, and the one they find hardest to give up again.

Against the rest of the ship it is livelier in a swell than most of them. It suits light sleepers. It is a poor fit for anyone who feels motion badly and anyone who finds long corridors and stairs hard work.
