Cabin 1107 · Carnival Freedom

Cabin 1107 is a Balcony (category 8F1) on Carnival Freedom, 168 to 205 square feet plus a private balcony of 35 to 46 square feet.

Cabin 1107 is a Balcony on Deck 11, the Spa deck, of Carnival Freedom, forward of midship. You are at the top of the passenger decks, so the pools and the open air are just up the stairs, and you feel the ship move more than anyone below you. You are far enough from the middle to notice a swell, but nowhere near the worst of it. We score it 6 out of 10 for steadiness.

Camp Ocean sits on the deck above, roughly 1 cabin along the ship from you. A deck between you takes most of the noise out of it, and it is a short trip when you want it. Quiet comes out at 8 out of 10, roughly par for this ship. For getting about it is 4 out of 10, so add a few minutes to everywhere you go.

Of the 13 cabin positions on Deck 11, this is the 8th from forward. You are about as central as the corridor gets, so it is a similar walk whichever way you turn out of your door.

The Balcony grade runs 168-205 square feet. The balcony adds another 35-46 on top of that. A balcony buys you outside space of your own and, on sea days, somewhere to sit that is not the pool deck. It is the step up most people make, and the one they find hardest to give up again.

Against the rest of the ship it is noisier than three quarters of the 1,493 cabins on board. It suits light sleepers. It is a poor fit for anyone who finds long corridors and stairs hard work.
