Cabin 1112 · Carnival Glory

Cabin 1112 is a Balcony (category 8F1) on Carnival Glory, 168 to 205 square feet plus a private balcony of 35 to 46 square feet.

Cabin 1112 is a Balcony on Deck 11, the Spa deck, of Carnival Glory, and it sits forward of midship. You are at the top of the passenger decks, so the pools and the open air are just up the stairs, and you feel the ship move more than anyone below you. You are far enough from the middle to notice a swell, but nowhere near the worst of it. We score it 6 out of 10 for steadiness.

On the ship's plan the lift bank is on the deck above, about 5 cabins along from you. You will still walk to the stairs or the lift to reach it, so treat it as a landmark rather than a neighbour. We give it 9 out of 10 for quiet, which is about as peaceful as this ship gets. For getting about it is 3 out of 10, so add a few minutes to everywhere you go.

Counting from the bow, it is the 6th cabin position of 13 along Deck 11. You are about as central as the corridor gets, so it is a similar walk whichever way you turn out of your door.

A Balcony gives you 168-205 square feet. The balcony adds another 35-46 on top of that. A balcony buys you outside space of your own and, on sea days, somewhere to sit that is not the pool deck. It is the step up most people make, and the one they find hardest to give up again.

It suits light sleepers. It is a poor fit for anyone who finds long corridors and stairs hard work.
