Cabin 11290 is a Connecting Ocean View Balcony on Spectrum of the Seas, 182 to 198 square feet plus a private balcony of 42 to 55 square feet.

Cabin 11290 is a Connecting Ocean View Balcony on Deck 11 of Spectrum of the Seas. You are well aft. Out at this end you feel the sea. In rough water the movement here is noticeably stronger. This far aft you may also pick up a hum from the propellers, usually at night when the ship is making speed between ports. Some people never notice it, others find it soothing, a few cannot ignore it. We score it 6 out of 10 for steadiness.

The nearest is the aft lift bank, port, and that is 24 cabins away down the corridor. That buys you quiet. It also means a proper walk with your bags on embarkation day. Spectrum runs four lift banks on most decks, a port and starboard pair forward and another pair aft. Conventional lifts with call buttons in the lobby and deck buttons in the car. The suite enclave on decks 13 to 16 also has its own private lift. Worth knowing: the cars are quiet, the lobby is not. A cabin beside one hears doors, waiting conversation and footfall in the corridor, heaviest when a show lets out and after the late dinner seating. We give it 9 out of 10 for quiet, which is about as peaceful as this ship gets. For getting about it is 4 out of 10, so add a few minutes to everywhere you go.

Of the 178 cabin positions on Deck 11, this is the 147th from forward. You share Deck 11 with Adventure Ocean. There are 280 cabins along this deck, so the corridor is a long walk end to end.

The Connecting Ocean View Balcony grade runs 182-198 square feet. The balcony adds another 42-55 on top of that. A balcony buys you outside space of your own and, on sea days, somewhere to sit that is not the pool deck. It is the step up most people make, and the one they find hardest to give up again.

Worth knowing before you book: Crown and Anchor pays one cruise point a night at this grade. A suite pays two, and so does sailing solo on a double occupancy fare, which is the cheaper of the two routes if you are travelling alone anyway. Checked against the line's own published terms on 8 September 2026.

Against the rest of the ship it is as quiet as anything on board and further from the action than most. It suits light sleepers. It is a poor fit for anyone who finds long corridors and stairs hard work.
