Cabin 11406 · Carnival Encounter

Cabin 11406 is a Balcony (category 8C1) on Carnival Encounter, 168 to 205 square feet plus a private balcony of 35 to 46 square feet.

Cabin 11406 is a Balcony on Deck 11 of Carnival Encounter, and it sits forward of midship. You are far enough from the middle to notice a swell, but nowhere near the worst of it. We score it 8 out of 10 for steadiness.

We give it 9 out of 10 for quiet, which is about as peaceful as this ship gets. For getting about, 7 out of 10.

Of the 152 cabin positions on Deck 11, this is the 58th from forward.

The Balcony grade runs 168-205 square feet. The balcony adds another 35-46 on top of that. A balcony buys you outside space of your own and, on sea days, somewhere to sit that is not the pool deck. It is the step up most people make, and the one they find hardest to give up again.

Against the rest of the ship it is steadier in a swell than 93 per cent of them and as well placed for getting around as any cabin aboard. It suits light sleepers and travellers prone to seasickness.
