Cabin 11528 is an Ocean View Balcony on Icon of the Seas, 182 to 198 square feet plus a private balcony of 42 to 55 square feet.

Cabin 11528 is an Ocean View Balcony on Deck 11 of Icon of the Seas, far forward. Out at this end you feel the sea. In rough water the movement here is noticeably stronger. Right up in the bow, a head sea can send a shudder through the hull that midship guests never feel at all. We score it 4 out of 10 for steadiness.

Nothing sits close by: it is 28 cabins to the forward lift bank, the nearest thing of its kind. That buys you quiet. It also means a proper walk with your bags on embarkation day. The forward lift and stair lobby on deck 11. Icon uses destination control: you choose your deck at the panel outside and it tells you which car to take, so there are no buttons inside the cars. The lobby is also the main stair landing for this end of the ship. Worth knowing: destination control panels are outside the lift, not inside it. Cabins immediately beside a lobby hear doors and voices at every hour, and the lobbies are busiest just after a show finishes. We give it 9 out of 10 for quiet, which is about as peaceful as this ship gets. For getting about it is 3 out of 10, so add a few minutes to everywhere you go.

Counting from the bow, it is the 27th cabin position of 318 along Deck 11.

An Ocean View Balcony gives you 182-198 square feet. The balcony adds another 42-55 on top of that. A balcony buys you outside space of your own and, on sea days, somewhere to sit that is not the pool deck. It is the step up most people make, and the one they find hardest to give up again.

Worth knowing before you book: Crown and Anchor pays one cruise point a night at this grade. A suite pays two, and so does sailing solo on a double occupancy fare, which is the cheaper of the two routes if you are travelling alone anyway. Checked against the line's own published terms on 8 September 2026.

Against the rest of the ship it is as quiet as anything on board, livelier in a swell than most of them and further from the action than most. It suits light sleepers. It is a poor fit for anyone who feels motion badly and anyone who finds long corridors and stairs hard work.

Scored by Cruise Ship Wiki using model v1.8, from the position of this cabin relative to every public space on the ship. Each part is out of 10.
