Cabin 1156 is an Ocean View Balcony on Deck 11 of Liberty of the Seas, far forward. You are at the top of the passenger decks, so the pools and the open air are just up the stairs, and you feel the ship move more than anyone below you. You are well out towards the end of the hull, which is where pitching is felt hardest. Right up in the bow, a head sea can send a shudder through the hull that midship guests never feel at all. Liberty of the Seas carries four lift banks on most decks, a port and starboard pair forward and another pair aft, so few cabins sit more than half a corridor from one. These are conventional lifts, with call buttons in the lobby and deck buttons inside the car. Worth knowing: the cars are quiet. The lobby is not. A cabin beside one hears doors, waiting conversation and footfall in the corridor, heaviest when a show lets out and at the start and end of a port day. Quiet scores 4 out of 10. Counting from the bow, it is the 4th cabin position of 4 along Deck 11. That puts you right at the aft end of the run, where the corridor stops and the footfall dies away. Deck 11 also has Vitality at Sea Fitness Center, Solarium, Whirlpool and Lime and Coconut on it. There are 8 cabins along this deck, so the corridor is short and rarely busy.
