Cabin 1201 · Carnival Luminosa

Cabin 1201 is an Ocean View on Carnival Luminosa, 177 square feet.

Cabin 1201 is an Ocean View on Deck 1 of Carnival Luminosa. You are far forward. You are near the bottom of the passenger decks, which is the steadiest place to be, though it is a fair climb to the open air. This is a long way from the pivot, so a swell reaches you before it reaches anyone midship. We score it 6 out of 10 for steadiness.

On the ship's plan a stairwell is on the deck above, about 1 cabin along from you. You will still walk to the stairs or the lift to reach it, so treat it as a landmark rather than a neighbour. We give it 9 out of 10 for quiet, which is about as peaceful as this ship gets. For getting about it scores 9 out of 10, so almost everything is a short walk.

Counting from the bow, it is the 1st cabin position of 111 along Deck 1. That puts you right at the forward end of the run, where the corridor stops and the footfall dies away. Deck 1 also has Luminosa Theater on it. There are 121 cabins along this deck, so the corridor is a fairly ordinary length.

An Ocean View gives you 177 square feet. You get daylight and a sense of where you are without paying balcony money. The window does not open, so it is the view but not the air.

Against the rest of the ship it is as well placed for getting around as any cabin aboard. It suits light sleepers and families running back to the cabin several times a day.

Scored by Cruise Ship Wiki using model v1.8, from the position of this cabin relative to every public space on the ship. Each part is out of 10.
