Cabin 12136 is an Ocean View Balcony on Spectrum of the Seas, 182 to 198 square feet plus a private balcony of 42 to 55 square feet.

Cabin 12136 is an Ocean View Balcony on Deck 12 of Spectrum of the Seas, far forward. You are well out towards the end of the hull, which is where pitching is felt hardest. Right up in the bow, a head sea can send a shudder through the hull that midship guests never feel at all. We score it 5 out of 10 for steadiness.

Adventure Ocean is immediately nearby, about 1 cabin away. Handy, though worth knowing about if you sleep lightly. The upper level of the kids complex, forward on deck 12. Sessions run 9 to 12, 2 to 5 and 7 to 10 on sea days, with late night party zone babysitting from 10pm to 2am. Worth knowing: same story as the level below. The noise is a hundred children moving through a corridor at changeover, not the rooms themselves. Quiet scores 4 out of 10. There is enough going on nearby that a light sleeper should think about it. For getting about it scores 9 out of 10, so almost everything is a short walk.

Of the 171 cabin positions on Deck 12, this is the 8th from forward. You share Deck 12 with Adventure Ocean. There are 248 cabins along this deck, so the corridor is a fairly ordinary length.

The Ocean View Balcony grade runs 182-198 square feet. The balcony adds another 42-55 on top of that. A balcony buys you outside space of your own and, on sea days, somewhere to sit that is not the pool deck. It is the step up most people make, and the one they find hardest to give up again.

Worth knowing before you book: Crown and Anchor pays one cruise point a night at this grade. A suite pays two, and so does sailing solo on a double occupancy fare, which is the cheaper of the two routes if you are travelling alone anyway. Checked against the line's own published terms on 8 September 2026.

Against the rest of the ship it is noisier than three quarters of the 2,142 cabins on board and as well placed for getting around as any cabin aboard. It suits families running back to the cabin several times a day. It is a poor fit for anyone who wakes when a door closes.

Scored by Cruise Ship Wiki using model v1.8, from the position of this cabin relative to every public space on the ship. Each part is out of 10.
