Cabin 12138 is a Connecting Ocean View Balcony on Anthem of the Seas, 182 to 198 square feet plus a private balcony of 42 to 55 square feet.

Cabin 12138 is a Connecting Ocean View Balcony on Deck 12 of Anthem of the Seas, far forward. You are at the top of the passenger decks, so the pools and the open air are just up the stairs, and you feel the ship move more than anyone below you. You are well out towards the end of the hull, which is where pitching is felt hardest. Right up in the bow, a head sea can send a shudder through the hull that midship guests never feel at all. We score it 5 out of 10 for steadiness.

You are 3 cabins from Adventure Ocean. Close enough to be useful, far enough that it should not keep you awake. The upper level of the kids complex, forward on deck 12. Sessions run 9 to 12, 2 to 5 and 7 to 10 on sea days, with late night party zone babysitting from 10pm to 2am. Worth knowing: same story as the level below. The noise is a hundred children moving through a corridor at changeover, not the rooms themselves. Quiet scores 5 out of 10. There is enough going on nearby that a light sleeper should think about it. For getting about, 5 out of 10.

Of the 132 cabin positions on Deck 12, this is the 8th from forward. You share Deck 12 with Concierge Club and Adventure Ocean. There are 231 cabins along this deck, so the corridor is a fairly ordinary length.

The Connecting Ocean View Balcony grade runs 182-198 square feet. The balcony adds another 42-55 on top of that. A balcony buys you outside space of your own and, on sea days, somewhere to sit that is not the pool deck. It is the step up most people make, and the one they find hardest to give up again.

On loyalty, this is a standard grade, so Crown and Anchor credits its base one cruise point a night. There are exactly two ways to double that: move up to a suite, or sail on your own on a double occupancy fare. Either pays two a night, and doing both pays three. Checked against the line's own published terms on 8 September 2026.

Against the rest of the ship it is noisier than three quarters of the 2,102 cabins on board. It is a poor fit for anyone who wakes when a door closes.

Scored by Cruise Ship Wiki using model v1.8, from the position of this cabin relative to every public space on the ship. Each part is out of 10.
