Cabin 12198 · MSC World America

Cabin 12198 is a Deluxe Balcony on Deck 12 of MSC World America, aft of midship. You will feel a bit more motion than a midship cabin. Nothing dramatic. We score it 7 out of 10 for steadiness.

It is 6 cabins along the corridor to the panoramic lift bank. Close enough to be useful, far enough that it should not keep you awake. We give it 9 out of 10 for quiet, which is about as peaceful as this ship gets. For getting about, 6 out of 10.

Counting from the bow, it is the 104th cabin position of 148 along Deck 12.

A Deluxe Balcony gives you 161-183 square feet. The balcony adds another 32-65 on top of that. A balcony buys you outside space of your own and, on sea days, somewhere to sit that is not the pool deck. It is the step up most people make, and the one they find hardest to give up again.

Against the rest of the ship it is as quiet as anything on board. It suits light sleepers.
