Cabin 12234 is an Owner's Suite - 1 Bedroom (category OW) on Quantum of the Seas. There is a double sofa bed.

Cabin 12234 is an Owner's Suite - 1 Bedroom on Deck 12 of Quantum of the Seas, midship. You are at the top of the passenger decks, so the pools and the open air are just up the stairs, and you feel the ship move more than anyone below you. That is about as close to the ship's pivot point as you can get, and in a swell you will feel it less here than anywhere else on board. We score it 8 out of 10 for steadiness.

It is 6 cabins along the corridor to the aft lift bank, port. Close enough to be useful, far enough that it should not keep you awake. Quantum runs four lift banks on most decks, a port and starboard pair forward and another pair aft, with two on deck 16. Conventional lifts with call buttons in the lobby and deck buttons in the car. Worth knowing: the cars are quiet, the lobby is not. A cabin beside one hears doors, waiting conversation and footfall in the corridor, heaviest when a show lets out and after the late dinner seating. Quiet comes out at 6 out of 10, roughly par for this ship. For getting about, 8 out of 10.

Counting from the bow, it is the 70th cabin position of 136 along Deck 12. You are about as central as the corridor gets, so it is a similar walk whichever way you turn out of your door. Deck 12 also has Concierge Club and Adventure Ocean on it. There are 235 cabins along this deck, so the corridor is a fairly ordinary length.

It is booked as an Owner's Suite - 1 Bedroom. At suite level you are buying more than square feet. Suites almost always carry priority boarding and priority disembarkation, and the higher grades on most lines add a restaurant, a lounge or a sun deck of their own. Junior and entry level suites often get none of that, so it is worth checking what this particular grade includes rather than assuming the whole list comes with the word.

There is a loyalty argument for this room as well as a comfort one. Crown and Anchor counts a suite night as two cruise points against one for a standard room, so the same week aboard moves you up the tiers twice as fast. Book it solo at the double occupancy fare and it counts three a night. Checked against the line's own published terms on 8 September 2026.

Against the rest of the ship it is steadier in a swell than 88 per cent of them and better placed for getting around than 89 per cent of them. It suits travellers prone to seasickness and families running back to the cabin several times a day. It is a poor fit for anyone who wakes when a door closes.
