Cabin 12236 is a Junior Suite on Harmony of the Seas, 250 to 287 square feet plus a private balcony of 65 to 161 square feet. There is a double sofa bed.

Cabin 12236 is a Junior Suite on Deck 12 of Harmony of the Seas, and it sits forward of midship. You are far enough from the middle to notice a swell, but nowhere near the worst of it. We score it 8 out of 10 for steadiness.

Nothing sits close by: it is 16 cabins to the aft lift bank, port, the nearest thing of its kind. That buys you quiet. It also means a proper walk with your bags on embarkation day. Harmony of the Seas carries four lift banks on most decks, forward and aft, port and starboard. Each is a glass fronted lobby with call buttons, deck buttons and a landing that doubles as a meeting point. The forward banks serve the theatre and the suite decks, the aft banks serve the dining rooms and the Boardwalk. Worth knowing: the cars themselves are quiet. The lobby is not. What a cabin beside a lift bank actually hears is people waiting, talking and calling to each other, and it peaks at dinner sittings and again after the late show. Two or three cabins along the corridor is. Quiet comes out at 7 out of 10, roughly par for this ship. For getting about, 7 out of 10.

Counting from the bow, it is the 75th cabin position of 172 along Deck 12. You are about as central as the corridor gets, so it is a similar walk whichever way you turn out of your door.

A Junior Suite gives you 250-287 square feet. The balcony adds another 65-161 on top of that. At suite level you are buying more than square feet. Suites almost always carry priority boarding and priority disembarkation, and the higher grades on most lines add a restaurant, a lounge or a sun deck of their own. Junior and entry level suites often get none of that, so it is worth checking what this particular grade includes rather than assuming the whole list comes with the word.

There is a loyalty argument for this room as well as a comfort one. Crown and Anchor counts a suite night as two cruise points against one for a standard room, so the same week aboard moves you up the tiers twice as fast. Book it solo at the double occupancy fare and it counts three a night. Checked against the line's own published terms on 8 September 2026.

Against the rest of the ship it is steadier in a swell than 87 per cent of them. It suits travellers prone to seasickness. It is a poor fit for anyone who wakes when a door closes.
