Cabin 12300 · Quantum of the Seas
Deck 12 · Royal Caribbean International
Cabin 12300 is an Ocean View Balcony on Quantum of the Seas, 182 to 198 square feet plus a private balcony of 42 to 55 square feet.
Cabin 12300 is an Ocean View Balcony on Deck 12 of Quantum of the Seas. You are well aft. You are at the top of the passenger decks, so the pools and the open air are just up the stairs, and you feel the ship move more than anyone below you. Out at this end you feel the sea. In rough water the movement here is noticeably stronger. This far aft you may also pick up a hum from the propellers, usually at night when the ship is making speed between ports. Some people never notice it, others find it soothing, a few cannot ignore it. We score it 4 out of 10 for steadiness.
Nothing sits close by: it is 13 cabins to Concierge Club, the nearest thing of its kind. Quiet, at the cost of a few minutes each way. The private lounge for suite guests and top tier Crown and Anchor members, aft on deck 12. Continental breakfast in the morning, hors d'oeuvres and a complimentary bar in the evening, with a concierge on duty morning and evening. Worth knowing: small and quiet, but it is on a cabin deck. Adjacent aft cabins hear the evening cocktail hour through the corridor, roughly 5pm to 8:30pm. Quiet comes out at 7 out of 10, roughly par for this ship. For getting about, 5 out of 10.
Counting from the bow, it is the 120th cabin position of 136 along Deck 12. Deck 12 also has Concierge Club and Adventure Ocean on it. There are 235 cabins along this deck, so the corridor is a fairly ordinary length.
An Ocean View Balcony gives you 182-198 square feet. The balcony adds another 42-55 on top of that. A balcony buys you outside space of your own and, on sea days, somewhere to sit that is not the pool deck. It is the step up most people make, and the one they find hardest to give up again.
Worth knowing before you book: Crown and Anchor pays one cruise point a night at this grade. A suite pays two, and so does sailing solo on a double occupancy fare, which is the cheaper of the two routes if you are travelling alone anyway. Checked against the line's own published terms on 8 September 2026.
Against the rest of the ship it is livelier in a swell than most of them. It is a poor fit for anyone who wakes when a door closes and anyone who feels motion badly.
Scored by Cruise Ship Wiki using model v1.8, from the position of this cabin relative to every public space on the ship. Each part is out of 10.
