Cabin 12544 · Utopia of the Seas

Cabin 12544 is an Ocean View Balcony on Utopia of the Seas, 182 to 198 square feet plus a private balcony of 42 to 55 square feet.

Cabin 12544 is an Ocean View Balcony on Deck 12 of Utopia of the Seas, and it sits far forward. You are well out towards the end of the hull, which is where pitching is felt hardest. Right up in the bow, a head sea can send a shudder through the hull that midship guests never feel at all. We score it 5 out of 10 for steadiness.

On the ship's plan Adventure Ocean is two decks up, about 2 cabins along from you. A deck between you takes most of the noise out of it, and it is a short trip when you want it. We give it 10 out of 10 for quiet, which is about as peaceful as this ship gets. For getting about it is 2 out of 10, so add a few minutes to everywhere you go.

Counting from the bow, it is the 9th cabin position of 211 along Deck 12. Deck 12 also has Giovanni's Italian Kitchen and Wine Bar on it. There are 328 cabins along this deck, so the corridor is a long walk end to end.

An Ocean View Balcony gives you 182-198 square feet. The balcony adds another 42-55 on top of that. A balcony buys you outside space of your own and, on sea days, somewhere to sit that is not the pool deck. It is the step up most people make, and the one they find hardest to give up again.

Worth knowing before you book: Crown and Anchor pays one cruise point a night at this grade. A suite pays two, and so does sailing solo on a double occupancy fare, which is the cheaper of the two routes if you are travelling alone anyway. Checked against the line's own published terms on 8 September 2026.

Against the rest of the ship it is as quiet as anything on board. It suits light sleepers. It is a poor fit for anyone who finds long corridors and stairs hard work.
