Cabin 1401 · Carnival Horizon

Cabin 1401 is a Deluxe Ocean View (category 6M1) on Carnival Horizon, 220 to 312 square feet.

Cabin 1401 is a Deluxe Ocean View on Deck 1 of Carnival Horizon, aft of midship. You are near the bottom of the passenger decks, which is the steadiest place to be, though it is a fair climb to the open air. You will feel a bit more motion than a midship cabin. Nothing dramatic. We score it 8 out of 10 for steadiness.

We give it 10 out of 10 for quiet, which is about as peaceful as this ship gets. For getting about, 5 out of 10.

Of the 131 cabin positions on Deck 1, this is the 88th from forward.

The Deluxe Ocean View grade runs 220-312 square feet. You get daylight and a sense of where you are without paying balcony money. The window does not open, so it is the view but not the air.

Against the rest of the ship it is as quiet as anything on board, steadier in a swell than 84 per cent of them and better placed for getting around than 97 per cent of them. It suits light sleepers and travellers prone to seasickness.
