Cabin 1407 · Carnival Freedom

Cabin 1407 is an Ocean View (category 6B) on Carnival Freedom.

Cabin 1407 is an Ocean View on Deck 1, the Riviera deck, of Carnival Freedom, and it sits aft of midship. You are near the bottom of the passenger decks, which is the steadiest place to be, though it is a fair climb to the open air. You will feel a bit more motion than a midship cabin. Nothing dramatic. We score it 7 out of 10 for steadiness.

A stairwell sits two decks up, roughly 2 cabins along the ship from you. You will still walk to the stairs or the lift to reach it, so treat it as a landmark rather than a neighbour. We give it 10 out of 10 for quiet, which is about as peaceful as this ship gets. For getting about, 6 out of 10.

Of the 143 cabin positions on Deck 1, this is the 116th from forward.

It is booked as an Ocean View. You get daylight and a sense of where you are without paying balcony money. The window does not open, so it is the view but not the air.

Against the rest of the ship it is as quiet as anything on board and better placed for getting around than 85 per cent of them. It suits light sleepers.
