Cabin 14174 is a Connecting Ocean View Balcony on Wonder of the Seas, 182 to 198 square feet plus a private balcony of 42 to 55 square feet.

Cabin 14174 is a Connecting Ocean View Balcony on Deck 14 of Wonder of the Seas. You are forward of midship. There is some movement here, more than midship and a good deal less than the ends. Most people never think about it. We score it 6 out of 10 for steadiness.

You are practically next door to the forward lift bank, port, 2 cabins along. Nothing on board is a shorter walk. The price is footsteps past your door and the lift chiming at odd hours. Wonder of the Seas carries four lift banks on most decks, forward and aft, port and starboard. Each is a glass fronted lobby with call buttons, deck buttons and a landing that doubles as a meeting point. The forward banks serve the theatre and the suite decks, the aft banks serve the dining rooms and the Boardwalk. Worth knowing: the cars themselves are quiet. The lobby is not. What a cabin beside a lift bank actually hears is people waiting, talking and calling to each other, and it peaks at dinner sittings and again after the late show. Two or three cabins along the corridor is. Quiet comes out at 6 out of 10, roughly par for this ship. For getting about it scores 9 out of 10, so almost everything is a short walk.

Of the 146 cabin positions on Deck 14, this is the 23rd from forward. You share Deck 14 with Adventure Ocean, Puzzle Break Escape Room, Card Room and Solarium. There are 279 cabins along this deck, so the corridor is a long walk end to end.

The Connecting Ocean View Balcony grade runs 182-198 square feet. The balcony adds another 42-55 on top of that. A balcony buys you outside space of your own and, on sea days, somewhere to sit that is not the pool deck. It is the step up most people make, and the one they find hardest to give up again.

Worth knowing before you book: Crown and Anchor pays one cruise point a night at this grade. A suite pays two, and so does sailing solo on a double occupancy fare, which is the cheaper of the two routes if you are travelling alone anyway. Checked against the line's own published terms on 8 September 2026.

Against the rest of the ship it is better placed for getting around than 97 per cent of them. It suits families running back to the cabin several times a day. It is a poor fit for anyone who wakes when a door closes.

Scored by Cruise Ship Wiki using model v1.8, from the position of this cabin relative to every public space on the ship. Each part is out of 10.
