Cabin 14247 · Icon of the Seas

Cabin 14247 is a Central Park View Balcony on Icon of the Seas, 182 to 193 square feet plus a private balcony of 50 to 52 square feet.

Cabin 14247 is a Central Park View Balcony on Deck 14 of Icon of the Seas, midship. This is the steady part of the ship. When it gets lumpy, midship is where you want to be. We score it 8 out of 10 for steadiness.

On the ship's plan Royal Bay Pool is on the deck above, about 8 cabins along from you. A deck between you takes most of the noise out of it, and it is a short trip when you want it. Quiet comes out at 7 out of 10, roughly par for this ship. For getting about, 5 out of 10.

Counting from the bow, it is the 132nd cabin position of 284 along Deck 14. You are about as central as the corridor gets, so it is a similar walk whichever way you turn out of your door.

A Central Park View Balcony gives you 182-193 square feet. The balcony adds another 50-52 on top of that. A balcony buys you outside space of your own and, on sea days, somewhere to sit that is not the pool deck. It is the step up most people make, and the one they find hardest to give up again.

On loyalty, this is a standard grade, so Crown and Anchor credits its base one cruise point a night. There are exactly two ways to double that: move up to a suite, or sail on your own on a double occupancy fare. Either pays two a night, and doing both pays three. Checked against the line's own published terms on 8 September 2026.

Against the rest of the ship it is steadier in a swell than 86 per cent of them. It suits travellers prone to seasickness. It is a poor fit for anyone who wakes when a door closes.
