Cabin 14348 · Carnival Celebration

Cabin 14348 is an Extended Balcony (category 8K) on Carnival Celebration.

Cabin 14348 is an Extended Balcony on Deck 14 of Carnival Celebration, and it sits forward of midship. There is some movement here, more than midship and a good deal less than the ends. Most people never think about it. We score it 7 out of 10 for steadiness.

On the ship's plan a stairwell is two decks down, about 2 cabins along from you. You will still walk to the stairs or the lift to reach it, so treat it as a landmark rather than a neighbour. We give it 10 out of 10 for quiet, which is about as peaceful as this ship gets. For getting about it is 4 out of 10, so add a few minutes to everywhere you go.

Counting from the bow, it is the 74th cabin position of 147 along Deck 14. You are about as central as the corridor gets, so it is a similar walk whichever way you turn out of your door.

It is booked as an Extended Balcony. A balcony buys you outside space of your own and, on sea days, somewhere to sit that is not the pool deck. It is the step up most people make, and the one they find hardest to give up again.

Against the rest of the ship it is as quiet as anything on board and further from the action than most. It suits light sleepers. It is a poor fit for anyone who finds long corridors and stairs hard work.

Scored by Cruise Ship Wiki using model v1.8, from the position of this cabin relative to every public space on the ship. Each part is out of 10.
