Cabin 1446 · Carnival Freedom

Cabin 1446 is an Interior (category 4A1) on Carnival Freedom, 149 to 185 square feet.

Cabin 1446 is an Interior on Deck 1, the Riviera deck, of Carnival Freedom, and it sits well aft. You are near the bottom of the passenger decks, which is the steadiest place to be, though it is a fair climb to the open air. You are well out towards the end of the hull, which is where pitching is felt hardest. This far aft you may also pick up a hum from the propellers, usually at night when the ship is making speed between ports. Some people never notice it, others find it soothing, a few cannot ignore it. We score it 5 out of 10 for steadiness.

Chic Dining Room sits two decks up, roughly 1 cabin along the ship from you. A deck between you takes most of the noise out of it, and it is a short trip when you want it. Quiet comes out at 8 out of 10, roughly par for this ship. For getting about it scores 9 out of 10, so almost everything is a short walk.

Of the 143 cabin positions on Deck 1, this is the 137th from forward.

The Interior grade runs 149-185 square feet. No window, which makes it the darkest and cheapest room on board and, for a lot of people, the best sleep they get all week. If waking to daylight matters to you, an ocean view is the smallest step up.

Against the rest of the ship it is noisier than three quarters of the 1,493 cabins on board and as well placed for getting around as any cabin aboard. It suits light sleepers and families running back to the cabin several times a day.
