Cabin 15540 is an Ocean View Balcony on Spectrum of the Seas, 182 to 198 square feet plus a private balcony of 42 to 55 square feet.

Cabin 15540 is an Ocean View Balcony on Deck 15 of Spectrum of the Seas, far forward. You are at the top of the passenger decks, so the pools and the open air are just up the stairs, and you feel the ship move more than anyone below you. This is a long way from the pivot, so a swell reaches you before it reaches anyone midship. Right up in the bow, a head sea can send a shudder through the hull that midship guests never feel at all. We score it 5 out of 10 for steadiness.

You are right beside The Boutique, some 1 cabin along the corridor. Handy, though worth knowing about if you sleep lightly. Not a general shop. The Boutique on deck 15 is a private VIP shopping room for suite guests, which also arranges customised shopping tours ashore. Worth knowing: private, low occupancy and daytime. Silent. Quiet scores 5 out of 10. There is enough going on nearby that a light sleeper should think about it. For getting about, 8 out of 10.

Counting from the bow, it is the 2nd cabin position of 10 along Deck 15. That puts you right at the forward end of the run, where the corridor stops and the footfall dies away. Deck 15 also has Fuel Teen Disco, Rock Climbing Wall, Sky Pad and North Star Bar on it. There are 10 cabins along this deck, so the corridor is short and rarely busy.

An Ocean View Balcony gives you 182-198 square feet. The balcony adds another 42-55 on top of that. A balcony buys you outside space of your own and, on sea days, somewhere to sit that is not the pool deck. It is the step up most people make, and the one they find hardest to give up again.

Worth knowing before you book: Crown and Anchor pays one cruise point a night at this grade. A suite pays two, and so does sailing solo on a double occupancy fare, which is the cheaper of the two routes if you are travelling alone anyway. Checked against the line's own published terms on 8 September 2026.

Against the rest of the ship it is noisier than three quarters of the 2,142 cabins on board and better placed for getting around than 83 per cent of them. It suits families running back to the cabin several times a day. It is a poor fit for anyone who wakes when a door closes.

Scored by Cruise Ship Wiki using model v1.8, from the position of this cabin relative to every public space on the ship. Each part is out of 10.
