Cabin 16138 · Ovation of the Seas
Deck 16 · Royal Caribbean International
Cabin 16138 is a Spacious Ocean View on Ovation of the Seas, 220 to 271 square feet.
Cabin 16138 is a Spacious Ocean View on Deck 16 of Ovation of the Seas, far forward. You are at the top of the passenger decks, so the pools and the open air are just up the stairs, and you feel the ship move more than anyone below you. Out at this end you feel the sea. In rough water the movement here is noticeably stronger. We score it 5 out of 10 for steadiness.
Vitality at Sea Fitness Center is immediately nearby, about 1 cabin away. Handy, though worth knowing about if you sleep lightly. The gym, on the upper level of the two deck spa and fitness complex forward on deck 16. Cardio, weights and studio space with windows over the bow. Worth knowing: normally this would sit over nothing, but the April 2026 refit put six new staterooms on deck 16 forward beside the fitness centre. Those cabins are the ones that will hear dropped weights and class music from about 6am. Quiet scores 5 out of 10. There is enough going on nearby that a light sleeper should think about it. For getting about, 6 out of 10.
Of the 7 cabin positions on Deck 16, this is the 2nd from forward. That puts you right at the forward end of the run, where the corridor stops and the footfall dies away. You share Deck 16 with FlowRider, RipCord by iFly, Vitality at Sea Fitness Center and North Star. There are 7 cabins along this deck, so the corridor is short and rarely busy.
The Spacious Ocean View grade runs 220-271 square feet. You get daylight and a sense of where you are without paying balcony money. The window does not open, so it is the view but not the air.
Worth knowing before you book: Crown and Anchor pays one cruise point a night at this grade. A suite pays two, and so does sailing solo on a double occupancy fare, which is the cheaper of the two routes if you are travelling alone anyway. Checked against the line's own published terms on 8 September 2026.
Against the rest of the ship it is noisier than three quarters of the 2,142 cabins on board. It is a poor fit for anyone who wakes when a door closes.
Scored by Cruise Ship Wiki using model v1.8, from the position of this cabin relative to every public space on the ship. Each part is out of 10.
