Cabin 16204 · Carnival Jubilee

Cabin 16204 is a Balcony (category 8G) on Carnival Jubilee.

Cabin 16204 is a Balcony on Deck 16 of Carnival Jubilee, and it sits far forward. You are at the top of the passenger decks, so the pools and the open air are just up the stairs, and you feel the ship move more than anyone below you. Out at this end you feel the sea. In rough water the movement here is noticeably stronger. Right up in the bow, a head sea can send a shudder through the hull that midship guests never feel at all. We score it 5 out of 10 for steadiness.

You are 5 cabins from Bridge. Close enough to be useful, far enough that it should not keep you awake. We give it 10 out of 10 for quiet, which is about as peaceful as this ship gets. For getting about it is 3 out of 10, so add a few minutes to everywhere you go.

Of the 64 cabin positions on Deck 16, this is the 2nd from forward. That puts you right at the forward end of the run, where the corridor stops and the footfall dies away. You share Deck 16 with Bridge, Lido Marketplace, Tides Pool and Big Chicken. There are 89 cabins along this deck, so the corridor is short and rarely busy.

It is booked as a Balcony. A balcony buys you outside space of your own and, on sea days, somewhere to sit that is not the pool deck. It is the step up most people make, and the one they find hardest to give up again.

Against the rest of the ship it is as quiet as anything on board, livelier in a swell than most of them and further from the action than most. It suits light sleepers. It is a poor fit for anyone who finds long corridors and stairs hard work.

Scored by Cruise Ship Wiki using model v1.8, from the position of this cabin relative to every public space on the ship. Each part is out of 10.
