Cabin 17241 · Carnival Celebration

Cabin 17241 is a Cloud 9 Spa Balcony (category 8P) on Carnival Celebration.

Cabin 17241 is a Cloud 9 Spa Balcony on Deck 17 of Carnival Celebration. You are far forward. You are at the top of the passenger decks, so the pools and the open air are just up the stairs, and you feel the ship move more than anyone below you. This is a long way from the pivot, so a swell reaches you before it reaches anyone midship. Right up in the bow, a head sea can send a shudder through the hull that midship guests never feel at all. We score it 4 out of 10 for steadiness.

The nearest is The Warehouse, and that is 14 cabins away down the corridor. Quiet, at the cost of a few minutes each way. We give it 10 out of 10 for quiet, which is about as peaceful as this ship gets. For getting about it is 4 out of 10, so add a few minutes to everywhere you go.

Of the 54 cabin positions on Deck 17, this is the 13th from forward. You share Deck 17 with RedFrog Tiki Bar, Guy's Burger Joint and Warehouse. There are 88 cabins along this deck, so the corridor is short and rarely busy.

It is booked as a Cloud 9 Spa Balcony. A balcony buys you outside space of your own and, on sea days, somewhere to sit that is not the pool deck. It is the step up most people make, and the one they find hardest to give up again.

Against the rest of the ship it is as quiet as anything on board, livelier in a swell than most of them and further from the action than most. It suits light sleepers. It is a poor fit for anyone who feels motion badly and anyone who finds long corridors and stairs hard work.

Scored by Cruise Ship Wiki using model v1.8, from the position of this cabin relative to every public space on the ship. Each part is out of 10.
