Cabin 2207 · Carnival Vista

Cabin 2207 is an Interior Upper/Lower (category 1A1) on Carnival Vista, 160 square feet.

Cabin 2207 is an Interior Upper/Lower on Deck 2 of Carnival Vista. You are well aft. You are near the bottom of the passenger decks, which is the steadiest place to be, though it is a fair climb to the open air. This is a long way from the pivot, so a swell reaches you before it reaches anyone midship. This far aft you may also pick up a hum from the propellers, usually at night when the ship is making speed between ports. Some people never notice it, others find it soothing, a few cannot ignore it. We score it 4 out of 10 for steadiness.

Liquid Lounge sits two decks up, roughly 66 cabins along the ship from you. A deck between you takes most of the noise out of it, and it is a short trip when you want it. We give it 10 out of 10 for quiet, which is about as peaceful as this ship gets. For getting about it is 1 out of 10, so add a few minutes to everywhere you go.

Of the 21 cabin positions on Deck 2, this is the 20th from forward. That puts you right at the aft end of the run, where the corridor stops and the footfall dies away.

The Interior Upper/Lower grade runs 160 square feet. No window, which makes it the darkest and cheapest room on board and, for a lot of people, the best sleep they get all week. If waking to daylight matters to you, an ocean view is the smallest step up.

Against the rest of the ship it is as quiet as anything on board and better placed for getting around than 88 per cent of them. It suits light sleepers. It is a poor fit for anyone who feels motion badly and anyone who finds long corridors and stairs hard work.
