Cabin 2450 · Carnival Dream

Cabin 2450 is an Ocean View (category 6A1) on Carnival Dream, 158 to 243 square feet.

Cabin 2450 is an Ocean View on Deck 2, the Main deck, of Carnival Dream, well aft. You are near the bottom of the passenger decks, which is the steadiest place to be, though it is a fair climb to the open air. This is a long way from the pivot, so a swell reaches you before it reaches anyone midship. This far aft you may also pick up a hum from the propellers, usually at night when the ship is making speed between ports. Some people never notice it, others find it soothing, a few cannot ignore it. We score it 3 out of 10 for steadiness. If you are at all prone to seasickness, look elsewhere.

On the ship's plan the lift bank is on the deck above, about 4 cabins along from you. You will still walk to the stairs or the lift to reach it, so treat it as a landmark rather than a neighbour. We give it 10 out of 10 for quiet, which is about as peaceful as this ship gets. For getting about it is 4 out of 10, so add a few minutes to everywhere you go.

Counting from the bow, it is the 168th cabin position of 184 along Deck 2.

An Ocean View gives you 158-243 square feet. You get daylight and a sense of where you are without paying balcony money. The window does not open, so it is the view but not the air.

Against the rest of the ship it is as quiet as anything on board, livelier in a swell than most of them and better placed for getting around than 79 per cent of them. It suits light sleepers. It is a poor fit for anyone who feels motion badly and anyone who finds long corridors and stairs hard work.
