Cabin 2501 · Carnival Vista

Cabin 2501 is a Family Harbor Ocean View (Obstructed View) (category FE1) on Carnival Vista, 220 square feet.

Cabin 2501 is a Family Harbor Ocean View (Obstructed View) on Deck 2 of Carnival Vista, aft of midship. You are near the bottom of the passenger decks, which is the steadiest place to be, though it is a fair climb to the open air. There is some movement here, more than midship and a good deal less than the ends. Most people never think about it. We score it 8 out of 10 for steadiness.

Liquid Lounge sits two decks up, roughly 75 cabins along the ship from you. A deck between you takes most of the noise out of it, and it is a short trip when you want it. We give it 10 out of 10 for quiet, which is about as peaceful as this ship gets. For getting about it is 1 out of 10, so add a few minutes to everywhere you go.

Of the 21 cabin positions on Deck 2, this is the 11th from forward. You are about as central as the corridor gets, so it is a similar walk whichever way you turn out of your door.

The Family Harbor Ocean View (Obstructed View) grade runs 220 square feet. You get daylight and a sense of where you are without paying balcony money. The window does not open, so it is the view but not the air.

Against the rest of the ship it is as quiet as anything on board, steadier in a swell than 96 per cent of them and better placed for getting around than 88 per cent of them. It suits light sleepers and travellers prone to seasickness. It is a poor fit for anyone who finds long corridors and stairs hard work.
