Cabin 3248 is an Ocean View on Quantum of the Seas, 179 to 182 square feet.

Cabin 3248 is an Ocean View on Deck 3 of Quantum of the Seas, and it sits aft of midship. You are near the bottom of the passenger decks, which is the steadiest place to be, though it is a fair climb to the open air. There is some movement here, more than midship and a good deal less than the ends. Most people never think about it. We score it 8 out of 10 for steadiness.

You are all but on top of the aft lift bank, port, about 2 cabins away. Nothing on board is a shorter walk. The price is footsteps past your door and the lift chiming at odd hours. Quantum runs four lift banks on most decks, a port and starboard pair forward and another pair aft, with two on deck 16. Conventional lifts with call buttons in the lobby and deck buttons in the car. Worth knowing: the cars are quiet, the lobby is not. A cabin beside one hears doors, waiting conversation and footfall in the corridor, heaviest when a show lets out and after the late dinner seating. Quiet comes out at 6 out of 10, roughly par for this ship. For getting about it scores 9 out of 10, so almost everything is a short walk.

Counting from the bow, it is the 51st cabin position of 53 along Deck 3. That puts you right at the aft end of the run, where the corridor stops and the footfall dies away. Deck 3 also has Music Hall, Royal Theatre, Casino Royale and Chic on it. There are 106 cabins along this deck, so the corridor is short and rarely busy.

An Ocean View gives you 179-182 square feet. You get daylight and a sense of where you are without paying balcony money. The window does not open, so it is the view but not the air.

Worth knowing before you book: Crown and Anchor pays one cruise point a night at this grade. A suite pays two, and so does sailing solo on a double occupancy fare, which is the cheaper of the two routes if you are travelling alone anyway. Checked against the line's own published terms on 8 September 2026.

Against the rest of the ship it is steadier in a swell than 88 per cent of them and as well placed for getting around as any cabin aboard. It suits travellers prone to seasickness and families running back to the cabin several times a day. It is a poor fit for anyone who wakes when a door closes.

Scored by Cruise Ship Wiki using model v1.8, from the position of this cabin relative to every public space on the ship. Each part is out of 10.
