Cabin 4578 is an Ocean View on Legend of the Seas, 179 to 182 square feet.

Cabin 4578 is an Ocean View on Deck 4 of Legend of the Seas. You are forward of midship. You are near the bottom of the passenger decks, which is the steadiest place to be, though it is a fair climb to the open air. You are far enough from the middle to notice a swell, but nowhere near the worst of it. We score it 8 out of 10 for steadiness.

You are all but on top of the forward lift bank, about 0 cabins away. Nothing on board is a shorter walk. The price is footsteps past your door and the lift chiming at odd hours. The forward lift and stair lobby on deck 4. Legend uses destination control: you choose your deck at the panel outside and it tells you which car to take, so there are no buttons inside the cars. The lobby is also the main stair landing for this end of the ship. Worth knowing: destination control panels are outside the lift, not inside it. Cabins immediately beside a lobby hear doors and voices at every hour, and the lobbies are busiest just after a show finishes. Quiet scores 3 out of 10. There is enough going on nearby that a light sleeper should think about it. For getting about it scores 9 out of 10, so almost everything is a short walk.

Counting from the bow, it is the 12th cabin position of 106 along Deck 4. Deck 4 also has Royal Theater, Main Dining Room, Music Hall and Casino Royale on it. There are 109 cabins along this deck, so the corridor is short and rarely busy.

An Ocean View gives you 179-182 square feet. You get daylight and a sense of where you are without paying balcony money. The window does not open, so it is the view but not the air.

Worth knowing before you book: Crown and Anchor pays one cruise point a night at this grade. A suite pays two, and so does sailing solo on a double occupancy fare, which is the cheaper of the two routes if you are travelling alone anyway. Checked against the line's own published terms on 8 September 2026.

Against the rest of the ship it is noisier than three quarters of the 2,811 cabins on board, steadier in a swell than 86 per cent of them and as well placed for getting around as any cabin aboard. It suits travellers prone to seasickness and families running back to the cabin several times a day. It is a poor fit for anyone who wakes when a door closes.

Scored by Cruise Ship Wiki using model v1.8, from the position of this cabin relative to every public space on the ship. Each part is out of 10.
