Cabin 5243 · Carnival Celebration

Cabin 5243 is a Cloud 9 Spa Cove Balcony (category 7S) on Carnival Celebration.

Cabin 5243 is a Cloud 9 Spa Cove Balcony on Deck 5 of Carnival Celebration, and it sits far forward. You are near the bottom of the passenger decks, which is the steadiest place to be, though it is a fair climb to the open air. Out at this end you feel the sea. In rough water the movement here is noticeably stronger. Right up in the bow, a head sea can send a shudder through the hull that midship guests never feel at all. We score it 5 out of 10 for steadiness.

It is 3 cabins along the corridor to Spa Treatment Rooms. Close enough to be useful, far enough that it should not keep you awake. We give it 9 out of 10 for quiet, which is about as peaceful as this ship gets. For getting about it is 4 out of 10, so add a few minutes to everywhere you go.

Counting from the bow, it is the 10th cabin position of 81 along Deck 5. Deck 5 also has Spa Treatment Rooms, Thermal Suites, Cloud 9 Spa and Salon on it. There are 285 cabins along this deck, so the corridor is a long walk end to end.

It is booked as a Cloud 9 Spa Cove Balcony. A balcony buys you outside space of your own and, on sea days, somewhere to sit that is not the pool deck. It is the step up most people make, and the one they find hardest to give up again.

Against the rest of the ship it is further from the action than most. It suits light sleepers. It is a poor fit for anyone who finds long corridors and stairs hard work.
