Cabin 5248 · Carnival Celebration

Cabin 5248 is a Cove Balcony (category 7C) on Carnival Celebration.

Cabin 5248 is a Cove Balcony on Deck 5 of Carnival Celebration, and it sits far forward. You are near the bottom of the passenger decks, which is the steadiest place to be, though it is a fair climb to the open air. This is a long way from the pivot, so a swell reaches you before it reaches anyone midship. Right up in the bow, a head sea can send a shudder through the hull that midship guests never feel at all. We score it 5 out of 10 for steadiness.

Thermal Suites is immediately nearby, about 2 cabins away. Handy, though worth knowing about if you sleep lightly. We give it 9 out of 10 for quiet, which is about as peaceful as this ship gets. For getting about it is 4 out of 10, so add a few minutes to everywhere you go.

Of the 81 cabin positions on Deck 5, this is the 15th from forward. You share Deck 5 with Spa Treatment Rooms, Thermal Suites, Cloud 9 Spa and Salon. There are 285 cabins along this deck, so the corridor is a long walk end to end.

It is booked as a Cove Balcony. A balcony buys you outside space of your own and, on sea days, somewhere to sit that is not the pool deck. It is the step up most people make, and the one they find hardest to give up again.

Against the rest of the ship it is further from the action than most. It suits light sleepers. It is a poor fit for anyone who finds long corridors and stairs hard work.
