Cabin 5422 · Carnival Celebration

Cabin 5422 is a Cove Balcony (category 7C) on Carnival Celebration.

Cabin 5422 is a Cove Balcony on Deck 5 of Carnival Celebration. You are midship. You are near the bottom of the passenger decks, which is the steadiest place to be, though it is a fair climb to the open air. You are near the middle of the hull, where the ship does the least moving. In rough water that matters more than most people expect. We score it 9 out of 10 for steadiness, which puts it among the calmest rooms on the ship.

The nearest is the lift bank, and that is 9 cabins away down the corridor. That buys you quiet. It also means a proper walk with your bags on embarkation day. We give it 9 out of 10 for quiet, which is about as peaceful as this ship gets. For getting about, 6 out of 10.

Of the 81 cabin positions on Deck 5, this is the 58th from forward. You share Deck 5 with Spa Treatment Rooms, Thermal Suites, Cloud 9 Spa and Salon. There are 285 cabins along this deck, so the corridor is a long walk end to end.

It is booked as a Cove Balcony. A balcony buys you outside space of your own and, on sea days, somewhere to sit that is not the pool deck. It is the step up most people make, and the one they find hardest to give up again.

Against the rest of the ship it is as steady in a swell as any cabin on the ship and better placed for getting around than 79 per cent of them. It suits light sleepers and travellers prone to seasickness.

Scored by Cruise Ship Wiki using model v1.8, from the position of this cabin relative to every public space on the ship. Each part is out of 10.
