Cabin 6168 is an Ocean View Balcony on Spectrum of the Seas, 182 to 198 square feet plus a private balcony of 42 to 55 square feet.

Cabin 6168 is an Ocean View Balcony on Deck 6 of Spectrum of the Seas, forward of midship. You are far enough from the middle to notice a swell, but nowhere near the worst of it. We score it 7 out of 10 for steadiness.

You are practically next door to the forward lift bank, port, 1 cabin along. Nothing on board is a shorter walk. The price is footsteps past your door and the lift chiming at odd hours. Spectrum runs four lift banks on most decks, a port and starboard pair forward and another pair aft. Conventional lifts with call buttons in the lobby and deck buttons in the car. The suite enclave on decks 13 to 16 also has its own private lift. Worth knowing: the cars are quiet, the lobby is not. A cabin beside one hears doors, waiting conversation and footfall in the corridor, heaviest when a show lets out and after the late dinner seating. Quiet scores 4 out of 10. There is enough going on nearby that a light sleeper should think about it. For getting about it scores 10 out of 10, so almost everything is a short walk.

Of the 146 cabin positions on Deck 6, this is the 36th from forward. You share Deck 6 with Two70, Library, Boardroom and Conference Center. There are 194 cabins along this deck, so the corridor is a fairly ordinary length.

The Ocean View Balcony grade runs 182-198 square feet. The balcony adds another 42-55 on top of that. A balcony buys you outside space of your own and, on sea days, somewhere to sit that is not the pool deck. It is the step up most people make, and the one they find hardest to give up again.

Worth knowing before you book: Crown and Anchor pays one cruise point a night at this grade. A suite pays two, and so does sailing solo on a double occupancy fare, which is the cheaper of the two routes if you are travelling alone anyway. Checked against the line's own published terms on 8 September 2026.

Against the rest of the ship it is noisier than three quarters of the 2,142 cabins on board and as well placed for getting around as any cabin aboard. It suits families running back to the cabin several times a day. It is a poor fit for anyone who wakes when a door closes.

Scored by Cruise Ship Wiki using model v1.8, from the position of this cabin relative to every public space on the ship. Each part is out of 10.
