Cabin 6168 is an Ocean View Balcony on Utopia of the Seas, 182 to 198 square feet plus a private balcony of 42 to 55 square feet.

Cabin 6168 is an Ocean View Balcony on Deck 6 of Utopia of the Seas. You are forward of midship. There is some movement here, more than midship and a good deal less than the ends. Most people never think about it. We score it 8 out of 10 for steadiness.

You are practically next door to the forward lift bank, 2 cabins along. Nothing on board is a shorter walk. The price is footsteps past your door and the lift chiming at odd hours. Utopia of the Seas letters two lift banks on each deck, one forward and one aft, each a glass fronted lobby serving both sides of the ship. The forward bank reaches the theatre and the suite decks, the aft bank the dining rooms, the Boardwalk and the pool deck above. Worth knowing: the cars themselves are quiet. The lobby is not. What a cabin beside a lift bank actually hears is people waiting, talking and calling to each other, and it peaks at dinner sittings and again after the late show. Two or three cabins along the corridor is. We give it 9 out of 10 for quiet, which is about as peaceful as this ship gets. For getting about it is 4 out of 10, so add a few minutes to everywhere you go.

Of the 148 cabin positions on Deck 6, this is the 33rd from forward. You share Deck 6 with Playmakers Sports Bar and Arcade, Sugar Beach, Johnny Rockets and Schooner Bar. There are 234 cabins along this deck, so the corridor is a fairly ordinary length.

The Ocean View Balcony grade runs 182-198 square feet. The balcony adds another 42-55 on top of that. A balcony buys you outside space of your own and, on sea days, somewhere to sit that is not the pool deck. It is the step up most people make, and the one they find hardest to give up again.

Worth knowing before you book: Crown and Anchor pays one cruise point a night at this grade. A suite pays two, and so does sailing solo on a double occupancy fare, which is the cheaper of the two routes if you are travelling alone anyway. Checked against the line's own published terms on 8 September 2026.

Against the rest of the ship it is steadier in a swell than 88 per cent of them and better placed for getting around than 91 per cent of them. It suits light sleepers and travellers prone to seasickness. It is a poor fit for anyone who finds long corridors and stairs hard work.

Scored by Cruise Ship Wiki using model v1.8, from the position of this cabin relative to every public space on the ship. Each part is out of 10.
