Cabin 6214 · Carnival Luminosa

Cabin 6214 is a Balcony on Carnival Luminosa, 185 to 237 square feet.

Cabin 6214 is a Balcony on Deck 6 of Carnival Luminosa, far forward. You are well out towards the end of the hull, which is where pitching is felt hardest. Right up in the bow, a head sea can send a shudder through the hull that midship guests never feel at all. We score it 4 out of 10 for steadiness.

Nothing sits close by: it is 13 cabins to a stairwell, the nearest thing of its kind. That buys you quiet. It also means a proper walk with your bags on embarkation day. We give it 10 out of 10 for quiet, which is about as peaceful as this ship gets. For getting about, 6 out of 10.

Counting from the bow, it is the 11th cabin position of 172 along Deck 6. Deck 6 also has Pool on it. There are 227 cabins along this deck, so the corridor is a fairly ordinary length.

A Balcony gives you 185-237 square feet. A balcony buys you outside space of your own and, on sea days, somewhere to sit that is not the pool deck. It is the step up most people make, and the one they find hardest to give up again.

Against the rest of the ship it is as quiet as anything on board and livelier in a swell than most of them. It suits light sleepers. It is a poor fit for anyone who feels motion badly.
