Cabin 6238 · Anthem of the Seas
Deck 6 · Royal Caribbean International
Cabin 6238 is a Junior Suite on Anthem of the Seas, 250 to 287 square feet plus a private balcony of 65 to 161 square feet. There is a double sofa bed.
Cabin 6238 is a Junior Suite on Deck 6 of Anthem of the Seas, midship. You are near the middle of the hull, where the ship does the least moving. In rough water that matters more than most people expect. We score it 8 out of 10 for steadiness.
It is 3 cabins along the corridor to the aft lift bank, port. Close enough to be useful, far enough that it should not keep you awake. Anthem runs four lift banks on most decks, a port and starboard pair forward and another pair aft, with two on deck 16. Conventional lifts with call buttons in the lobby and deck buttons in the car. Worth knowing: the cars are quiet, the lobby is not. A cabin beside one hears doors, waiting conversation and footfall in the corridor, heaviest when a show lets out and after the late dinner seating. Quiet comes out at 6 out of 10, roughly par for this ship. For getting about it scores 9 out of 10, so almost everything is a short walk.
Counting from the bow, it is the 68th cabin position of 107 along Deck 6. Deck 6 also has Workshop and Library on it. There are 192 cabins along this deck, so the corridor is a fairly ordinary length.
A Junior Suite gives you 250-287 square feet. The balcony adds another 65-161 on top of that. At suite level you are buying more than square feet. Suites almost always carry priority boarding and priority disembarkation, and the higher grades on most lines add a restaurant, a lounge or a sun deck of their own. Junior and entry level suites often get none of that, so it is worth checking what this particular grade includes rather than assuming the whole list comes with the word.
There is a loyalty argument for this room as well as a comfort one. Crown and Anchor counts a suite night as two cruise points against one for a standard room, so the same week aboard moves you up the tiers twice as fast. Book it solo at the double occupancy fare and it counts three a night. Checked against the line's own published terms on 8 September 2026.
Against the rest of the ship it is steadier in a swell than 88 per cent of them and as well placed for getting around as any cabin aboard. It suits travellers prone to seasickness and families running back to the cabin several times a day. It is a poor fit for anyone who wakes when a door closes.
Scored by Cruise Ship Wiki using model v1.8, from the position of this cabin relative to every public space on the ship. Each part is out of 10.
