Cabin 6274 · Carnival Magic

Cabin 6274 is a Balcony (category 8B) on Carnival Magic.

Cabin 6274 is a Balcony on Deck 6 of Carnival Magic, forward of midship. You are far enough from the middle to notice a swell, but nowhere near the worst of it. We score it 7 out of 10 for steadiness.

Showtime Theatre sits on the deck below, roughly 1 cabin along the ship from you. A deck between you takes most of the noise out of it, and it is a short trip when you want it. Quiet comes out at 7 out of 10, roughly par for this ship. For getting about it is 4 out of 10, so add a few minutes to everywhere you go.

Of the 171 cabin positions on Deck 6, this is the 33rd from forward.

The Balcony grade runs 168-205 square feet. The balcony adds another 35-46 on top of that. A balcony buys you outside space of your own and, on sea days, somewhere to sit that is not the pool deck. It is the step up most people make, and the one they find hardest to give up again.

Against the rest of the ship it is noisier than three quarters of the 1,845 cabins on board. It is a poor fit for anyone who wakes when a door closes and anyone who finds long corridors and stairs hard work.
