Cabin 6294 · Carnival Dream

Cabin 6294 is a Balcony (category 8B) on Carnival Dream.

Cabin 6294 is a Balcony on Deck 6, the Upper deck, of Carnival Dream, forward of midship. There is some movement here, more than midship and a good deal less than the ends. Most people never think about it. We score it 7 out of 10 for steadiness.

On the ship's plan the lift bank is on the deck below, about 4 cabins along from you. You will still walk to the stairs or the lift to reach it, so treat it as a landmark rather than a neighbour. We give it 9 out of 10 for quiet, which is about as peaceful as this ship gets. For getting about it is 4 out of 10, so add a few minutes to everywhere you go.

Counting from the bow, it is the 77th cabin position of 220 along Deck 6.

It is booked as a Balcony. A balcony buys you outside space of your own and, on sea days, somewhere to sit that is not the pool deck. It is the step up most people make, and the one they find hardest to give up again.

Against the rest of the ship it is better placed for getting around than 79 per cent of them. It suits light sleepers. It is a poor fit for anyone who finds long corridors and stairs hard work.
