Cabin 6338 · Carnival Luminosa

Cabin 6338 is a Balcony on Carnival Luminosa, 185 to 237 square feet.

Cabin 6338 is a Balcony on Deck 6 of Carnival Luminosa, midship. You are near the middle of the hull, where the ship does the least moving. In rough water that matters more than most people expect. We score it 9 out of 10 for steadiness, which puts it among the calmest rooms on the ship.

A stairwell sits on the deck above, roughly 1 cabin along the ship from you. You will still walk to the stairs or the lift to reach it, so treat it as a landmark rather than a neighbour. We give it 9 out of 10 for quiet, which is about as peaceful as this ship gets. For getting about, 7 out of 10.

Of the 172 cabin positions on Deck 6, this is the 101st from forward. You are about as central as the corridor gets, so it is a similar walk whichever way you turn out of your door. You share Deck 6 with Pool. There are 227 cabins along this deck, so the corridor is a fairly ordinary length.

The Balcony grade runs 185-237 square feet. A balcony buys you outside space of your own and, on sea days, somewhere to sit that is not the pool deck. It is the step up most people make, and the one they find hardest to give up again.

Against the rest of the ship it is as steady in a swell as any cabin on the ship and better placed for getting around than 83 per cent of them. It suits light sleepers and travellers prone to seasickness.

Scored by Cruise Ship Wiki using model v1.8, from the position of this cabin relative to every public space on the ship. Each part is out of 10.
