Cabin 7106 · Carnival Legend

Cabin 7106 is an Interior (category 4D1) on Carnival Legend, 149 to 185 square feet.

Cabin 7106 is an Interior on Deck 7, the Verandah deck, of Carnival Legend, far forward. You are at the top of the passenger decks, so the pools and the open air are just up the stairs, and you feel the ship move more than anyone below you. This is a long way from the pivot, so a swell reaches you before it reaches anyone midship. Right up in the bow, a head sea can send a shudder through the hull that midship guests never feel at all. We score it 3 out of 10 for steadiness. If you are at all prone to seasickness, look elsewhere.

A stairwell sits two decks up, roughly 1 cabin along the ship from you. You will still walk to the stairs or the lift to reach it, so treat it as a landmark rather than a neighbour. We give it 9 out of 10 for quiet, which is about as peaceful as this ship gets. For getting about it scores 9 out of 10, so almost everything is a short walk.

Of the 124 cabin positions on Deck 7, this is the 3rd from forward. That puts you right at the forward end of the run, where the corridor stops and the footfall dies away.

The Interior grade runs 149-185 square feet. No window, which makes it the darkest and cheapest room on board and, for a lot of people, the best sleep they get all week. If waking to daylight matters to you, an ocean view is the smallest step up.

Against the rest of the ship it is livelier in a swell than most of them and as well placed for getting around as any cabin aboard. It suits light sleepers and families running back to the cabin several times a day. It is a poor fit for anyone who feels motion badly.

Scored by Cruise Ship Wiki using model v1.8, from the position of this cabin relative to every public space on the ship. Each part is out of 10.
