Cabin 7138 is an Ocean View Balcony on Odyssey of the Seas, 182 to 198 square feet plus a private balcony of 42 to 55 square feet.

Cabin 7138 is an Ocean View Balcony on Deck 7 of Odyssey of the Seas. You are far forward. Out at this end you feel the sea. In rough water the movement here is noticeably stronger. Right up in the bow, a head sea can send a shudder through the hull that midship guests never feel at all. We score it 5 out of 10 for steadiness.

Nothing sits close by: it is 15 cabins to the forward lift bank, port, the nearest thing of its kind. That buys you quiet. It also means a proper walk with your bags on embarkation day. Odyssey runs four lift banks on most decks, a port and starboard pair forward and another pair aft. Conventional lifts with call buttons in the lobby and deck buttons in the car. Worth knowing: the cars are quiet, the lobby is not. A cabin beside one hears doors, waiting conversation and footfall in the corridor, heaviest when a show lets out and after the late dinner seating. Quiet comes out at 7 out of 10, roughly par for this ship. For getting about it scores 9 out of 10, so almost everything is a short walk.

Counting from the bow, it is the 32nd cabin position of 158 along Deck 7.

An Ocean View Balcony gives you 182-198 square feet. The balcony adds another 42-55 on top of that. A balcony buys you outside space of your own and, on sea days, somewhere to sit that is not the pool deck. It is the step up most people make, and the one they find hardest to give up again.

Worth knowing before you book: Crown and Anchor pays one cruise point a night at this grade. A suite pays two, and so does sailing solo on a double occupancy fare, which is the cheaper of the two routes if you are travelling alone anyway. Checked against the line's own published terms on 8 September 2026.

Against the rest of the ship it is as well placed for getting around as any cabin aboard. It suits families running back to the cabin several times a day. It is a poor fit for anyone who wakes when a door closes.
