Cabin 7420 · Carnival Dream

Cabin 7420 is a Balcony (category 8C1) on Carnival Dream, 168 to 205 square feet plus a private balcony of 35 to 46 square feet.

Cabin 7420 is a Balcony on Deck 7, the Empress deck, of Carnival Dream, and it sits well aft. This is a long way from the pivot, so a swell reaches you before it reaches anyone midship. We score it 6 out of 10 for steadiness.

On the ship's plan the lift bank is two decks down, about 7 cabins along from you. You will still walk to the stairs or the lift to reach it, so treat it as a landmark rather than a neighbour. We give it 9 out of 10 for quiet, which is about as peaceful as this ship gets. For getting about, 6 out of 10.

Counting from the bow, it is the 142nd cabin position of 167 along Deck 7.

A Balcony gives you 168-205 square feet. The balcony adds another 35-46 on top of that. A balcony buys you outside space of your own and, on sea days, somewhere to sit that is not the pool deck. It is the step up most people make, and the one they find hardest to give up again.

Against the rest of the ship it is as well placed for getting around as any cabin aboard. It suits light sleepers.
