Cabin 7445 · Carnival Freedom

Cabin 7445 is a Premium Vista Balcony (category 9C1) on Carnival Freedom, 230 square feet plus a private balcony of 85 square feet.

Cabin 7445 is a Premium Vista Balcony on Deck 7, the Empress deck, of Carnival Freedom. You are well aft. Out at this end you feel the sea. In rough water the movement here is noticeably stronger. This far aft you may also pick up a hum from the propellers, usually at night when the ship is making speed between ports. Some people never notice it, others find it soothing, a few cannot ignore it. We score it 2 out of 10 for steadiness. If you are at all prone to seasickness, look elsewhere.

Promenade Centuries sits two decks down, roughly 9 cabins along the ship from you. A deck between you takes most of the noise out of it, and it is a short trip when you want it. We give it 9 out of 10 for quiet, which is about as peaceful as this ship gets. For getting about it is 4 out of 10, so add a few minutes to everywhere you go.

Of the 163 cabin positions on Deck 7, this is the 162nd from forward. That puts you right at the aft end of the run, where the corridor stops and the footfall dies away.

The Premium Vista Balcony grade runs 230 square feet. The balcony adds another 85 on top of that. A balcony buys you outside space of your own and, on sea days, somewhere to sit that is not the pool deck. It is the step up most people make, and the one they find hardest to give up again.

Against the rest of the ship it is livelier in a swell than most of them. It suits light sleepers. It is a poor fit for anyone who feels motion badly and anyone who finds long corridors and stairs hard work.
