Cabin 8108 · Carnival Legend

Cabin 8108 is a Balcony (category 8E1) on Carnival Legend, 168 to 205 square feet plus a private balcony of 35 to 46 square feet.

Cabin 8108 is a Balcony on Deck 8, the Panorama deck, of Carnival Legend, and it sits far forward. You are at the top of the passenger decks, so the pools and the open air are just up the stairs, and you feel the ship move more than anyone below you. You are well out towards the end of the hull, which is where pitching is felt hardest. Right up in the bow, a head sea can send a shudder through the hull that midship guests never feel at all. We score it 4 out of 10 for steadiness.

On the ship's plan Fitness Center is on the deck above, about 3 cabins along from you. A deck between you takes most of the noise out of it, and it is a short trip when you want it. We give it 9 out of 10 for quiet, which is about as peaceful as this ship gets. For getting about, 5 out of 10.

Counting from the bow, it is the 7th cabin position of 96 along Deck 8.

A Balcony gives you 168-205 square feet. The balcony adds another 35-46 on top of that. A balcony buys you outside space of your own and, on sea days, somewhere to sit that is not the pool deck. It is the step up most people make, and the one they find hardest to give up again.

Against the rest of the ship it is livelier in a swell than most of them and better placed for getting around than 79 per cent of them. It suits light sleepers. It is a poor fit for anyone who feels motion badly.
