Cabin 8120 · Carnival Spirit

Cabin 8120 is a Balcony (category 8E1) on Carnival Spirit, 168 to 205 square feet plus a private balcony of 35 to 46 square feet.

Cabin 8120 is a Balcony on Deck 8, the Panorama deck, of Carnival Spirit, far forward. You are at the top of the passenger decks, so the pools and the open air are just up the stairs, and you feel the ship move more than anyone below you. This is a long way from the pivot, so a swell reaches you before it reaches anyone midship. Right up in the bow, a head sea can send a shudder through the hull that midship guests never feel at all. We score it 5 out of 10 for steadiness.

A stairwell sits on the deck above, roughly 1 cabin along the ship from you. You will still walk to the stairs or the lift to reach it, so treat it as a landmark rather than a neighbour. We give it 9 out of 10 for quiet, which is about as peaceful as this ship gets. For getting about, 8 out of 10.

Of the 96 cabin positions on Deck 8, this is the 13th from forward.

The Balcony grade runs 168-205 square feet. The balcony adds another 35-46 on top of that. A balcony buys you outside space of your own and, on sea days, somewhere to sit that is not the pool deck. It is the step up most people make, and the one they find hardest to give up again.

Against the rest of the ship it is as well placed for getting around as any cabin aboard. It suits light sleepers and families running back to the cabin several times a day.
