Cabin 8341 · Carnival Luminosa

Cabin 8341 is a Balcony on Carnival Luminosa, 185 to 237 square feet.

Cabin 8341 is a Balcony on Deck 8 of Carnival Luminosa, midship. You are at the top of the passenger decks, so the pools and the open air are just up the stairs, and you feel the ship move more than anyone below you. That is about as close to the ship's pivot point as you can get, and in a swell you will feel it less here than anywhere else on board. We score it 8 out of 10 for steadiness.

A stairwell sits on the deck below, roughly 1 cabin along the ship from you. You will still walk to the stairs or the lift to reach it, so treat it as a landmark rather than a neighbour. We give it 10 out of 10 for quiet, which is about as peaceful as this ship gets. For getting about, 8 out of 10.

Of the 161 cabin positions on Deck 8, this is the 106th from forward. You share Deck 8 with Pool. There are 187 cabins along this deck, so the corridor is a fairly ordinary length.

The Balcony grade runs 185-237 square feet. A balcony buys you outside space of your own and, on sea days, somewhere to sit that is not the pool deck. It is the step up most people make, and the one they find hardest to give up again.

Against the rest of the ship it is as quiet as anything on board, steadier in a swell than 89 per cent of them and better placed for getting around than 94 per cent of them. It suits light sleepers, travellers prone to seasickness and families running back to the cabin several times a day.

Scored by Cruise Ship Wiki using model v1.8, from the position of this cabin relative to every public space on the ship. Each part is out of 10.
