Cabin 8518 · Legend of the Seas
Deck 8 · Royal Caribbean International
Cabin 8518 is a Spacious Interior on Legend of the Seas, 260 to 340 square feet.
Cabin 8518 is a Spacious Interior on Deck 8 of Legend of the Seas. You are far forward. Out at this end you feel the sea. In rough water the movement here is noticeably stronger. Right up in the bow, a head sea can send a shudder through the hull that midship guests never feel at all. We score it 5 out of 10 for steadiness.
The nearest is Hollywood Land Supper Club, and that is 23 cabins away down the corridor. Quiet, at the cost of a few minutes each way. Legend's answer to the supper clubs on Icon and Star, a multi course dinner walked through the golden age of cinema from 1910 to the 1950s, with live jazz, cocktails and gourmet plates between acts. Worth knowing: one long sitting with live music throughout, so it finishes late. Book it early, this is the hardest table on the ship to get. We give it 9 out of 10 for quiet, which is about as peaceful as this ship gets. For getting about it is 4 out of 10, so add a few minutes to everywhere you go.
Of the 290 cabin positions on Deck 8, this is the 16th from forward. You share Deck 8 with Izumi in the Park, Central Park, Hollywood Land Supper Club and Chops Grille. There are 315 cabins along this deck, so the corridor is a long walk end to end.
The Spacious Interior grade runs 260-340 square feet. No window, which makes it the darkest and cheapest room on board and, for a lot of people, the best sleep they get all week. If waking to daylight matters to you, an ocean view is the smallest step up.
Worth knowing before you book: Crown and Anchor pays one cruise point a night at this grade. A suite pays two, and so does sailing solo on a double occupancy fare, which is the cheaper of the two routes if you are travelling alone anyway. Checked against the line's own published terms on 8 September 2026.
Against the rest of the ship it is as quiet as anything on board and further from the action than most. It suits light sleepers. It is a poor fit for anyone who finds long corridors and stairs hard work.
Scored by Cruise Ship Wiki using model v1.8, from the position of this cabin relative to every public space on the ship. Each part is out of 10.
