Cabin 8640 is a Junior Suite on Enchantment of the Seas, 250 to 287 square feet plus a private balcony of 65 to 161 square feet. There is a double sofa bed.

Cabin 8640 is a Junior Suite on Deck 8 of Enchantment of the Seas, and it sits well aft. You are at the top of the passenger decks, so the pools and the open air are just up the stairs, and you feel the ship move more than anyone below you. You are well out towards the end of the hull, which is where pitching is felt hardest. This far aft you may also pick up a hum from the propellers, usually at night when the ship is making speed between ports. Some people never notice it, others find it soothing, a few cannot ignore it. We score it 5 out of 10 for steadiness.

Solarium Pool sits on the deck above, roughly 2 cabins along the ship from you. A deck between you takes most of the noise out of it, and it is a short trip when you want it. Quiet comes out at 7 out of 10, roughly par for this ship. For getting about, 7 out of 10.

Of the 88 cabin positions on Deck 8, this is the 74th from forward.

The Junior Suite grade runs 250-287 square feet. The balcony adds another 65-161 on top of that. At suite level you are buying more than square feet. Suites almost always carry priority boarding and priority disembarkation, and the higher grades on most lines add a restaurant, a lounge or a sun deck of their own. Junior and entry level suites often get none of that, so it is worth checking what this particular grade includes rather than assuming the whole list comes with the word.

Grade changes what you earn here, which is easy to miss. Crown and Anchor pays one cruise point a night in a standard room and two a night in a suite, so a seven night sailing out of this cabin banks fourteen points rather than seven. Sail it on your own on a double occupancy fare and it is three a night, twenty one for the week. Checked against the line's own published terms on 8 September 2026.

Against the rest of the ship it is livelier in a swell than most of them. It is a poor fit for anyone who wakes when a door closes.
